Many people think of Cabo San Lucas as the ultimate spring break destination populated with nothing but wild college students looking to escape the pressures of academia. Sure, Cabo has its fair share of party animals in search of a good time, but it also has more than its fair share of quiet spots too.
In a postgame interview with Kobe Bryant, right after the Laker’s 15th championship win, Kobe was asked where he’d be going to celebrate his win. His answer was not the standard, “Disneyland,” but something a little more exotic, a little more adult; Cabo San Lucas. And, as great as Mickey Mouse is, really, it makes sense that the NBA Finals MVP would prefer the sun and the sand to screaming kids and lines (ok, I doubt Kobe has to wait in line, but you get the point). Who wouldn’t want to go to Cabo? Everyone knows that Cabo San Lucas, Mexico is beautiful but what you might not realize is that you don’t need an NBA paycheck to go there.
