It only makes sense that while you’re in Cabo San Lucas, you’ll want to try some authentic local cuisine. After all, what better place to eat Mexican food than in Mexico? Though there are countless options from which you can choose, allow me to help narrow your search.
If you’re in the mood for a little live music and a nice atmosphere, head to downtown Cabo San Lucas and visit Legends Bar. Run by the multi-talented Wendy Tosoff, the bar was opened earlier this year and is already a great place to spend the evening.
In downtown Cabo lies an adorable museum filled with local treasures. The Museo de las Californias has a collection of items pertaining to the Baja Peninsula.
If you’re sight-seeing in Cabo San Lucas, it’ll be difficult to miss Cabo Wabo. This gigantic nightclub has been around for about 20 years and just continues to get more popular. In fact, it’s spawned another location in Lake Tahoe and a line of successful tequila. Who is the genius behind all of this? Rock musician and (sometimes) front man of Val Halen, Sammy Hagar.
Situated so close to the water, it’s no surprise that Baja Lobster Company specializes in seafood (the name sort of gives it away too). This is not your typical seafood restaurant, however. Baja Lobster Co. prides themselves on their sophisticated, creative, and exotic dishes. Your tongue is sure to be pleased.
With a grand prize of over $2 million, you won’t want to miss Bisbee’s annual Black and Blue Tournament. Serious fishermen (and women) look forward to this event not only for the generous prizes but for the bragging rights as well. This event is not for the faint of heart or the light of wallet with tournament fees ranging from $5,000 to $63,000.
For those of you going to Cabo to relax, you’ve made a good choice. You’ll probably want to spend your day enjoying the sun and the sand on the beautiful beach while you sip delicious drinks, sitting on your soft towel, under your striped umbrella. It’s definitely not a bad way to spend the day but for those of you who crave a little more action, let me suggest that you look into ATV tours.
When you arrive in Cabo and see the beauty that surrounds you, it’s not likely that your first thought will be of leaving. After a few days, however, try pulling yourself a way for a fun day trip. Think about making your way to Todos Santos, a cute little town that has been gaining in popularity due to the growth of its artistic community as well as its thriving agriculture.
