The Todos Santos Art Festival

The Todos Santos Art Festival is a week-long celebration of art and Mexican culture.  This year’s festival will be January 30-February 6 and promises to be just as successful as ever.

The festival brings together folk dancing, music, and theatre performances as well as offering workshops to teach Latin music and folk dancing.  There are often guest speakers hosting conferences on a variety of subjects.  Past subject have included everything from turtle conservation to family relations to Baja history.

The opening weekend is filled with various artistic displays in the main plaza.  This is usually also when the Mexican folk dancing is featured with a music and dance show also in the main plaza.  Then, all week long, the Cultural Center has several exhibitions featuring art, music, and crafts.  Additionally, several local art galleries have special shows to celebrate the event.  The final Saturday generally includes a dance in the plaza with a live band.  It’s an action-packed week for sure!
