Cabo's Museo de las Californias
In downtown Cabo lies an adorable museum filled with local treasures. The Museo de las Californias has a collection of items pertaining to the Baja Peninsula.
Outside, you’ll see a whale skeleton displayed as a reminder of the beautiful creatures that make their way from Alaska to the Cabo waters and inside you’ll find fossils and information on indigenous people and their communities. There is also an extensive collection of maps, journals, and tools dating back to the expeditions of Cortez in the 1500’s. It is certainly not the largest or most impressive museum you’ll ever see but with its unique focus on the local area and its low admittance fee, it’s definitely worth a visit. Located at the edge of Town Square and just across the street from Mi Casa Restaurant and Cantina, you won’t be far from a good meal and plenty of other sights to see.
While you’re visiting Cabo San Lucas, treat yourself to the best accommodations available and check out www.cabolaestancia.com where you’ll find the only privately owned condos on Medano Beach. These villas range in size and price but what they do have in common is a gorgeous view of the Sea of Cortez and a level of luxury that will leave you eager to return very soon.
