Cabo Day Trips
When you arrive in Cabo and see the beauty that surrounds you, it’s not likely that your first thought will be of leaving. After a few days, however, try pulling yourself a way for a fun day trip. Think about making your way to Todos Santos, a cute little town that has been gaining in popularity due to the growth of its artistic community as well as its thriving agriculture.
Todos Santos thrived for much of the 1800’s and 1900’s in large part to its many sugar mills. However, after severe droughts in the 1950’s, the city faced tough times and many people were forced to move out of the village in search of work. Fortunately, the city has bounced back from its economic slump and once again enjoys the agricultural wealth it had before. Among the crops they produce now are avocado, papaya, pablano chili, and mango and also enjoy a healthy fishing and ranching industry.
You will not be without things to do while you visit. Todos Santos also has a growing artist community as well as many wonderful restaurants and shops. The area boasts several art galleries featuring a variety of styles and artists, many adorable shops, and tons of delicious restaurants. Some would say that your trip to Todos Santos would not be complete without a visit to Cafe? Sante Fe so be sure to check that out while you’re there.
Enjoy a day full of art, food, and fun in Todos Santos but make sure your return to Cabo starts before the sun goes down as many local animals tend to sleep on the road. (You certainly don’t want to ruin your fabulous day of fun with a bovine collision.) If you’re looking for luxurious accommodations while in Cabo, check out Villa La Estancia, the only privately owned condos on Medano Beach.
